Ideas for Remodeling Your Bathroom

November 30, 2009 | In: Home Remodeling

Bathrooms often need update or remodeling changes but who wants to spend a lot of money and time, just to find that it wasn’t what they wanted and it cost too much? But there are inexpensive and creative things you can do to spruce up your bathroom. Let’s examine some ideas.

Remodeling Steps

Idea Number One: First, make up a list of questions on how you want to tackle the project. Such questions might be: What are the deficiencies of my bathroom? How can I change a deficiency into an asset? Is the layout of my bathroom functional and efficient? Is my bathroom large enough for me and my family’s needs? What colors of paint or fabric would look good in my bathroom? Should I replace any furniture in the bathroom and if so, how to do it?

Idea Number Two: Once you’ve answered these questions, then you can decide on how next to proceed. Maybe wall coverings are an option for your bathroom. Painting is an easy and less expensive way to remodel one’s bathroom and there are many colors to choose from. Or, maybe decorative tiles might help to brighten the room and add an elegant touch.

Idea Number Three: Then, there are vanities. Because vanities are often the only pieces of furniture in a bathroom, replacing a vanity with a smaller one, might give you more room and add a touch of elegance and charm.

Idea Number Four: Then there is the tub vs. the shower idea. Even though bathtubs have been the standard for most bathrooms, many these days seldom use them. Perhaps you could remove your tub and replace it with a shower? If this is a good idea for you, you could remove the tub and at the same time, give you more room.

Idea Number Five: Consider fixtures. Look closely at your fixtures and then check out other styles that are available that might look good in your bathroom. There are many styles to choose from and installing a more ornate look would be a creative and less expensive way to remodel your bathroom.

Idea Number Six: Shower curtains, towels, mirrors, clocks and rugs can also highlight and update a bathroom and with the many varieties available; it is another inexpensive way to remodel your bathroom.

Contractor Support is very willing to work with us to make sure that we ended up with what we wanted. I can’t even count how many times we changed our minds about one particular part of the project and Dave (The contractor we hired through the service) not only helped us figure out what we wanted, but he was very good about making sure that the changes we wanted got done properly. contractorsupportonline
